Quality Control & Assurance

The quality framework applied across every stage of garment manufacturing, from raw material receipt through to finished-goods approval, product safety governance, and structured risk analysis — combining in-house testing with third-party laboratory verification where mandated by buyer requirements.

Framework

The seven-point QC & risk framework

A multi-tier quality control framework built to manage risk, verify specifications, and enforce standards from raw input through to final shipping clearance.

01

Raw material QC

GSM, weave/knit construction, shrinkage, colour fastness (grade 3-4 min), 4-point defect grading & chemical compliance, before any material is cleared for cutting.

02

In-process QC

Cutting (24hr relaxation, marker ±0.3cm), sewing (SPI checks, 30-60min roaming inspection), finishing & packing checkpoints catch defects at source.

03

In-house laboratory

14 in-house test parameters — GSM, colour fastness, shrinkage, pilling, seam strength, pH — for rapid turnaround without production delay.

04

Third-party testing

Mandatory for regulated markets via SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, QIMA, UL, RSL — physical, flammability, children's safety, sustainability claims.

05

AQL final inspection

ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 pre-shipment gate conducted in-house on every order, with third-party inspection engaged when required by buyer specification; measurements, workmanship, packaging, labelling & documentation checked before dispatch.

06

Product safety protocol

100% in-house inspection on every lot, escalated to third-party testing or certification when required by buyer specification, covering CPSIA/REACH/flammability compliance, choking-hazard & drawstring checks, adverse-event monitoring, needle/broken-needle detection, and a documented recall & corrective-action procedure.

07

Product risk analysis

Pre-production risk assessment spanning fabric (shrinkage, colour fastness, GSM variation, chemical compliance), construction (seam strength, SPI consistency, trim/accessory failure, measurement deviation), and wash process (shrinkage, shade variation, strength degradation, hardware corrosion), flagging failure points before they reach production.

Acceptance

Defect classification & AQL thresholds

Clear categorization standards for evaluating defect severity and determining order acceptance.

0%

Critical

Safety or legal — zero tolerance, no exceptions

2.5

Major

Functional or aesthetic — standard pre-shipment

4.0

Minor

Appearance only — standard pre-shipment

AQL Standards & Buyer Customization

These AQL thresholds serve as a general baseline standard and are fully customizable to meet specific buyer requirements and quality protocols. Any line rejection rate exceeding 3% triggers a line stop and root-cause analysis.
